Anna Wysocka-Bar is an Academic Coordinator of the EU co-funded Jean Monnet Module on Transport Law in the European Union (EUTransLaw). Previously, she has led Private International Law at Jagiellonian University (EPIL@JU) Jean Monnet Module. 

Anna is a senior lecturer at the Private International Law Center, Faculty of Law and Administration at Jagiellonian University in Kraków (Poland). She has studied law at Jagiellonian University, Université Montpellier I in France and Ottawa University in Canada. She has attended the Summer School organized by the Hague Academy of International Law. 

Anna has carried her research in private international law at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg, Swiss Institute of Comparative Law in Lausanne, Peace Palace Library, Institute for comparative law, conflict of laws and international business law at Heidelberg University and Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Anna has published on private international law, including a monograph on party autonomy Wybór prawa w międzynarodowym prawie spadkowym, LexisNexis: Warszawa 2013 and (together with Ewa Kamarad) Private International Law in Poland, Wolters Kluwer: Alphen aan den Rijn 2020.

Anna is an ordinary member of the European Association of Private International Law (EAPIL), one of editors of the EAPIL blog and a member of EAPIL Working Groups on International Property Law and on the Feasibility of a European Private International Law Act. 

She has given guest lectures on judicial cooperation in civil matters in many different institutions - in Italy at Università degli Studi di Milano, Università degli Studi di Ferrara, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore Milano, Università degli Studi di Bologna and Università degli studi dell'Insubria in Como, in Germany at the European Law Academy; in China at the Minzu University of China in Beijing; in Turkey at the University of Istanbul; at the University of Jordan in Amman and in Egypt at the American University of Cairo. She was a visiting professor at Università degli Studi di Parma. She has been teaching at the Radboud Summer School in Nijmegen (the Netherlands) and the Ravenna Summer School (Italy). 

Anna is a licensed attorney at law and a licensed tax advisor with years of experience in tax and legal consulting.
